City of Merkel Municipal Energy Usage
Calendar Year 2023

The City of Merkel purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy. In Calendar Year 2023, the City purchased a total of 4,438 thousand cubic feet (MCF) of natural gas.
The City purchases electricity from GEXA Energy and Taylor Electric Cooperative. In Calendar Year 2023, the City purchased a total of 491,391 kilowatt-hours.
The City purchases water from the City of Abilene. In Calendar Year 2023, the City purchased a total of 82,933,000 gallons of water.
The total cost of natural gas, electricity, and water purchased by the City in the Calendar Year 2023 is $695,416.68.
