The City of Merkel purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy. In Calendar Year 2021, the City purchased a total of 5,415 thousand cubic feet (MCF) of natural gas.
The City purchases electricity from GEXA Energy and Taylor Electric Cooperative. In Calendar Year 2021, the City purchased a total of 428,814 kilowatt-hours.
The City purchases water from the City of Abilene. In Calendar Year 2021, the City purchased a total of 130,038,000 gallons of water.
The total cost of natural gas, electricity, and water purchased by the City in the Calendar Year 2021 is $657,085.06.
