The City of Merkel purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy. In Calendar Year 2024, the City purchased a total of 3,350 thousand cubic feet (MCF) of natural gas.
The City purchases electricity from GEXA Energy and Taylor Electric Cooperative. In Calendar Year 2024, the City purchased a total of 443,747 kilowatt-hours.
The City purchases water from the City of Abilene. In Calendar Year 2024, the City purchased a total of 94,244,000 gallons of water.
The total cost of natural gas, electricity, and water purchased by the City in the Calendar Year 2024 is $820,880.02.
