Tipton's Antiques opened in Merkel,Texas on March 1, 1995 in the home that my Grandparents, Mr. & Mr.s. S.G. Tipton built in 1929, and later my mother's home (Mrs. Carrie Tipton) at 311 Rose St.
The shop is in a warm home setting, and is decorated in Antiques and Special Gift items. We feature Heritage Lace, the #1 seller, offering Table Lace, Runners, Mantle Covers, Toppers & Curtains. We can special order
pieces not in stock. Other gift lines are Grandmother's Buttons, beautiful jewelry pieces made from authentic Victorian-era fasteners that have lived a life of their own. The availability of these lovely buttons is
limited. Please, enjoy them while they last. The are hand crafted in St. Francisville, LA.

Alda's Soaps are French Milled and a mild facial soap. The picture on the front lasts the life of the soap.
Each year we join other shops for "Christmas Round the Corner" Open House in November. This is a fun weekend with door prizes and refreshments. A great time to visit with friends and see what Merkel has to
